| Software Notes |
| From The Box | A unique mindboggling game of multiple skill levels. Take command of the wackiest collection of misdirected rodents ever seen on your screen.
|
| Game origins | The Lemmings story begins in mid 1989, over a year and a half before its eventual release in 1991. DMA Design were considering new game ideas when Gary Timmons created a DPaint animation of a gun on a cliff and lots of little guys walking up and being blasted. This idea was taken further as the team thought that if the player could somehow control the guys onscreen, getting them to perform skills to avoid being 'wasted' they could have the makings of a great game...............and the rest as they say is history.
|
| Additional Notes | In homage to previous Psygnosis titles Lemming's incorporates four quite unique levels (one for each of the difficulty levels Fun, Tricky, Taxing, Mayhem) which are themed around other games. These levels not only contain graphics taken from the original title they pay tribute to but also have reworked versions of their music. The games featured are 'Shadow Of The Beast', 'Menace', 'AWESOME' and 'Shadow Of The Beast II' .
The levels are as follows:
- Fun: Level 22; 'A Beast of a level'
Features graphics from Shadow Of The Beast and a reworking of the intro music.
- Tricky: Level 14; 'MENACING !!'
Features graphics from Menace level 3 (Carnage Rift) and reworking of the ingame music.
- Taxing: Level 15; 'What an AWESOME level'
Features the planet guardian from Awesome and a reworking of the ingame music.
- Mayhem: Level 22; 'A BeastII of a level'
Features graphics from Shadow Of The Beast II and a reworking of the ingame music
