Note: software's original RRP is of historic interest only and is not a reliable indicator of worth in today's market! The RRP (Recommended Retail Price) is the guide price set by the software publisher for retailers to sell the product at (i.e. the price retailers should charge at point of sale for the software). Traditionally pricing either fell into one of two catgeories, the full price (high-end) market where games typically retailed for something around £20 (usually £19.99 or £24.99) or the budget (low-end) market where they retailed for anything under a tenner (£9.99, £7.99, £4.99 etc). Many of the games in this lower price bracket however, were simply budget rereleases of what were originally full price games on first release. It is also worth noting that game price was never a good indicator of game quality! |
